So you guys must have been wondering, what's the recent hoo-haa!about this restaurant?
Everyone's been telling me about it and said it's a must try. So here I am !

Definitely a hearty breakfast to start off any day

Go early if you plan to have your brunch there becuase waits for tables can be very long on weekends, this is the crowd on a Sunday around 1pm. The tiny place takes some time to turn over. It is worth the wait as the full nutrient food is to die for. What's more awesome? Excellent breakfast served all day!

They have quite an amount of devoted patrons.

Okay so here comes the yummy section, fooooooooooooood

My husband is the big breakfast kinda person,
and his order was their version of big breakfast - SatisFry Up (RM22.80) with complimentary drinks.

Pork sausage/bacon, scramble egg/sunny side up, sauteed mushroom, served w coffee/tea & juice of the day.

The dish below is what makes them the hot topic now on the internet.

Brunch Pasta with 7 Mintues Egg (RM16.80)

sauteed mushroom, bacon, rocket, & 7 min egg

" The 7 minute egg make the very light carbonara pasta to the perfection! "

The soft, savory medium-boiled egg and the texture perfect pasta was a perfect combination! And very appetizing too!

Smoked Salmon Breakfast Platter (RM24.80)

I just had to order at least one dish that has salmon or gravlax on the menu! It's my all time fav

Smoke salmon, scramble egg, avocado & cherry tomato salad. lemon, arugula & sourdough

Last but not least,

Gourmet Antipasto Breakfast Platter (RM25.80)

- Wide range of traditional dry-cured ham and aged cheese served with fruits & veggie salad that offer a rich combination of delicatessen food!

Prosciutto. Salami Milano, Chorizo, Brie, Chedder, Strawberry Grape Olive Salad, 7 min egg & toasted ciabatta

I know you must be wondering why the Antipasto last? Because they served it last -.- It'll be better next time if they can serve it first because antipasto is meant to have it before digging into the main dishes.

I am quite amazed that such a tiny restaurant could churn out such nourishing food.
Would definitely be back real soon to try out some new dishes!

Japan Trip - Day 2 - Hokkaido - Otaru

Bonjour bonjour ! A little bit late on my day 2 Japan post.

But here goes, be prepared for a trillion pics ?

In Japan, sky completely turned bright at 5am. So we woke up around that time to get prepared for our activities.

There's a few gastronomic destinations in Hokkaido, our first stop was the Hokkaido fish market.
Dad says everything there is the freshest! So we are getting our breakfast there ♥ It was only 15 mins of walking distance from our hotel to the fish market.

On our way, we walked past " The Old Hokkaido Government Building " in Sapporo is built with over 2.5 million bricks.

Not forgetting SAKURA too!!!

It was around May so as you can tell from the pictures, the sakura are already falling...

We were pretty lucky to still enjoy some of it in Hokkaido

Some tourist shot with hubby-san

Sapporo TV Tower, Odori Park

It was suppose to be a 15 minutes walk, but it turned out to be 30 minutes because of the stopping here & there for tourist pics. But here we are, { Sapporo's Nijo Fish Market } one of the Hokkaido seafood market! The place where many local and tourist hunt for fresh seafood!

Okay some touristy shot again before fish-shopping.

And can I say their fish market is so so super clean! No trash along the sideways, walk way not slippery, most importantly no smelly fish odor at all! Everything in Japan is so clean

Okay now let's start the food hunting!

Our first stop at the market was for this gigantic KING CRAB!

Dad picked out the best one and I thought we were gonna pack it and eat it somewhere, I didn't know the store clerk gonna chop the crab fresh on the spot for us to eat!

OMG just look at those fresssssssh crab meat! *drooooolllsss*

You can never never find this in other places!
Price of the King Crab was RM300 only, you can never get the same price here in Malaysia.
Normally it's about RM600-RM700.

Slurp!!

Okay I have this super bad habit where I hate to peel the crabs shells and getting my fingers all dirty.
Usually my hubby will do the shell peeling job and my job is to eat :D

Thankiew boo boo!

Done with the crabs! Second stop, the Salmon Sashimi stop

Check out my palm next to it! It's 3 times my palm size!

Same procedure, picked out the best one and had it eaten on the spot!

I could do this everyday

Ikura (Salmon Roe) sold in jars

Scallop ♥ Juicy and ALIVE!

Spent about 2 hours at the Sapporo's Nijo fish market. It was a very fun experience for me as it is my first time eating all my favorite seafood fresh!

Next stop, OTARU!

It's about 40 minutes drive or train ride to Otaru,
but we decided to get a car instead to skip all the walking from the train station.

On the way walking to the car rental shop,

And so we got our cars!

Only RM200 per day, pretty worth it if you are traveling to a lot of places.
But remember to get your international license first before driving in overseas!

And here we are at Otaru!

the famous Otaru Canal

Dad with a rickshaw shafu

And............. it's food time again!

Picked out this restaurant because there was this really strong smell coming out from it, like it's calling for us or something.

And as we entered the shop, we know why! There are people roasting live seafood!

All you need to do is just pick whatever you want to eat and place it at the counter for them to roast/cook it.
To be honest, I went a little cray for these

Mamasan sat there like a queen waiting for us to serve her food.

Don't drooool !

Me and my Grilled hotato (scallop) with butter!

The meat was super juicy and firm! Yet very springy!

Crab meats was delicious too

Squids!

Hub hub is loving it~

After our lunch, Dad wanted to go to a Whiskey factory -.-

Therefore our 3rd stop was the Nikka Whiskey factory.

Here, they show you step by step how whiskey are made from.

Just me and another sakura-falling-tree.

After Nikka Whiskey factory, as we were walking along the streets of Otaru. We came across this ice-cream shop where I see people queuing for it. So I join the fun also la ~

It is called the Lavender Soft Serve Ice Cream

Comes is 5 & 7 flavours.

I took the 7 flavours

Love it! Yum~ Yum~ Yum~

Our last stop of the day,

Nothing like a Japanese sushi restaurant in Otaru lol.

Everything super fresh as usual.

Our chef was being very nice and friendly

Me & daddy macam yes wanna be chef

Alright we came to the end of Day 2 in Japan post.

Hope you guys enjoy reading cause editing all these pics are making me cray haha

The Good Batch - Uptown Damansara Utama

The Good Batch is one of those places you want to tell friends about the moment you've finished your meal. The breakfast offering certainly outdoes most of the others brunch place I go. They have been around for quite sometime and gaining fame with their creative menu items which are very different from your typical brunch set. Oh and don't forget to save room for desserts! It's a must try!

They have a bar that serve alcohol which makes them a non-halal restaurant.
However they don't serve pork in any of their dishes.

Just like any other famous brunch places, wait times can be lengthy on weekends so be sure to go early.
Because the crowd will look something like the picture above.

How can we missed out Henry BB when there's good food?

Let's move on to what they have so mouth-watering to bring the crowd here.

Ordered Jasmine tea & a cuppa hot latte for beverage

1. The ANGMOH (RM25.90)

"Two softly scrambled organic eggs, streaky beef bacon, grilled chicken sausage, ripened tomatoes, juicy white button mushrooms, pan fried potatoes, dad's baked beans and lightly toasted bread."

Good Batch version of the Big Breakfast, my husband's must-order when he come to restaurants like this. The ingredients tasted really fresh, they serve a generous amount of potatoes and scrambled eggs.

2. CORN DOGS (RM14.90)

"Corn dogs on a stick with our killer "Gula Melaka" mustard dip."

I must say this will be my favorite snack dishes they have. Every bite was crunchy and hot! Perfectly paired with their Gula Melaka mustard dip! There's not much more to say other than it's incredibly delicious!

3. NORWEGIAN (RM20.90)

"Smoked salmon, capsicon and onion confit, topped with a pair of perfectly poached organic eggs and out homemade lemon Hollandaise on a lightly toasted bread."

Just like my hubby, everywhere I go I have this one dish that I must order. Norwegian is their version of eggs benedicts. Eggs were perfectly poached however the bread they have could be slightly bigger. It was more like a bun cut into half.

Henry BB loves food!

My 10 months old back then

These are the After 6pm MAINS:

1. JAPANESE (RM26.90)

"Silken scrambled eggs under a lightly battered soft shell crab, drizzled with wasabi mayo, served with a side of cold potato salad."

Wonderful salad, crab were soft and so flavorful. Loving the wasabi mayo too making it an american-japanese twist.

2. THE ATLANTIC (RM32.90)

"Arborio rice cooked with finely chopped onions and asparagus, topped with slices of smoked Salmon, crunchy asparagus sticks and a poached organic egg."

Loving the presentation. However the taste of this dish were a little tasteless for me. Maybe because it's organic?

We were too full for dessert, but I noticed a few options that would otherwise have been very appetizing.

All in all, a lovely Sunday brunch. Service is always friendly and inviting. Worth a try!

Had my latest hair by Kimarie latest branch located at Kota Damansara (right beside Loudspeaker). When I heard of it, I got a little excited because it is only 10 minutes drive from my place! With their unique design, I love it even more!

Bricks on bricks, a modern laid-back feel which make patrons super comfortable ♥ You know how at other salons when you sit right to another customers you tend to "accidentally" look into their mirror and make awkward eye contact. It gets pretty annoying too when the person right next to you keeps staring. Here they separated each mirror with the bricks wall at a distance that you have your own space and no more "awkward eye-to-eye moment".

They use mainly Kerastse & L'oreal products

My hair before.

I was considering a color update for my hair, a darker tone this time around. And of course a special treatment to cure the dryness and frizzy-ness of my hair. My hair stylist was super friendly, he gave me some professional advice on how to maintain a healthy looking hair. After choosing the color i wanted, we quickly proceed to the hair-coloring procedure.

Can't wait to see how it turns out!

After that was the Kerastase Rituals Treatment

The treatment works deep down in the hair fibre and scalp to give you a more glossy, hydrating and soothing hair by changing the quality of your hair with the treatment. While waiting I was treated for a super relaxing neck and shoulder massage

Love the just right temperature steamy feeling

Macam superstar need two hairstylist to blow dry my hair lol.

A little trim after that.

And voila! This is exactly what I wanted, a healthy looking hair with a gorgeous cut.

Now my hair is more soft, smooth and silky!

I prefer curls

You can tell there's a huge difference between the before and after pic.
Thank you Kimarie for making my hair look healthy and pretty!

Another special addition at this salon is they have a nail station! I can get my nails done here next time too!

Definitely coming back for my hair's next pampering session!

First night market experience

You may notice that I seldom blog about my son, my husband or my family. They appear in my social media sites more (facebook, instagram). Not because they are not important, it is because there is too much about them I don't know where to start!

Especially my son, I think I have over 10,000 pictures of him in my computer. And I am not even kidding! I will start blogging about them more now because they play a huge role in my life. And family is always my first priority!

Well, let's just start with a simple night out with le hubby and son at one of KL longest's night market shall we? Why is it so special that I have to blog about it? It was theirs first time there! (Low quality pictures as I was using iPhone for the pics that night)

And yes BB Henry is taking over the wheels that night!

Why is Connaught pasar malam my all time fav?
Because there is just so much delicious and special street food to eat!! They even have scallops wtf.

My little one enjoying his first beverage at the night market!

He loved it !

Tried this plant ice-cream thing lol.

And this is our buys of the night.

Didn't manage to take all the food pics though cause we were too hungry and can't wait to dig in already.

Just like this chubby one, always nomming away.

Happy kid is happy with Krystal JIEJIE!

It was really fun just hanging out with the fam and friends. Henry had an awesome time. Eating, that is. LOL. Will definitely blog more about him in the future! Let me settle an arrange all his pics first! Oh yeah it's Wednesday again! Go have a food spree at Connaught if you haven't been there in a long time. Signing off. x

First try at Miam Miam last month with my food buddies again! After the hype was over. Late! I know! It is located at One Utama (old wing). You may see it when you park at their outdoor car park. Was there for a brunch session, crowd was okay, service was moderate, food was damn super slow despite the little crowd. But the food was good so it's worth the wait. I guess? Judge it for yourself after this post.

Very high-tech and fast way of taking down orders. But food and beverage still served pretty slow :/

Your classic Iced-lemon tea.

Okay this drink below is something to boast about.

It is called the Peanut Butter & Banana Milkshake!

Creamy peanut butter and fresh banana, blended with milk.

I'm a sucker for smoothie and this is just my glass of smoothie! Who doesn't like peanut and banana?
Especially when they are mixed is one glass? The dreamy-creamy texture... Mmmmm!

Le food twime

1. Clam Chowder (RM11)

Clam chowder was pretty good, it was creamy and flavorful paired with their french toast.

Next up is,

2. Miam Miam's Famous French Toast! (RM16.80)

Pan-fried square french toast coated with thin layer of egg batter.
A giant scoop of whipped cream and along side with maple syrup.

I really liked it! But if you are a small eater and this comes after meal,
I suggest 3 person can share a pan of this! The portion is pretty huge.

3. Soufflé de Nuage (RM28.80)

Home-style fresh tomato sautéed rice topped with fluffy clouds of egg and cheese!

Ordered this because of the interesting appearance and we wanna find out what's so special beneath those fluffy clouds eggs and cheese? It's more like a mac and cheese except its rice and cheese with tomato sauce. If you like cheese this is definitely your dish! Waiting time for time is about 20 minutes.

4. Miam Miam Spaghetti (RM26.80)

Sautéed with frankfurters, tomatoes, baby spinach and turkey ham. Tossed with french butter, secret broth and shoyu.

It's a french-japanese kinda dish and we all loved it!
We love everything that's topped with a poached egg! Haha

5. Mac and Cheese (RM23.80)

Over-baked fresh pasta shells with their selection of four special cheeses with crunchy Japanese breadcrumbs.

So here's the real deal with four types of sophisticated "cheeses". Can't get anymore cheesy than that!

Overall, I will give a 7/10 for this restaurant. Food was satisfying but they really have to improve on their service and speed of serving the food. The whole meal took them about 45 mins to serve all the food which is pretty long especially when we were all hungry. One dish came right after we finished another.

For me, it is unacceptable. It could have been a very satisfying meal with the quality of food they served.

It's a to-try restaurant, but make sure to go on a non-peak-hour to avoid frustration.

Celebrated the youngest family member in our family 18th birthday's here last week.
My baby sister is finally turning 18!
Oh how time flies. She'll always be my baby sister no matter what lol.
That chubby little one running around and make friends everywhere she goes. Definitely an outgoing one!

It was a small family and friends dinner last week here at the Flora Terrace, Hampshire Place.

I really love the theme of this restaurant. Flowers hanging down from the ceiling, felt like I'm in some fairy tale secret enchanted garden as I entered. Loving the spacious and cozy ambiance too. Perfect for a romantic dinner or to host a special event here! Didn't know such lovely place in KL exists!

Oh how I love this place! Even their furniture and decorations are exquisite

Lovely couple at the private section for a romantic dinner

Mumsy and Pat

Mumsy and moi

The hubs and the birthday girl!

Lovely couple alert!

Their menu offered asian fusion list of food.

For starters we had,

1. Mushroom Cappuccino Soup with Prawn-flavored Chawanmushi (RM25)

A creamy mushroom soup with prawn-flavored chawanmushi-like base.

2. Cream of Pumpkin Soup with Almond Flake and Green Mussel (RM20)

3. Smoked Salmon Caesar Salad (RM22)

Loving the salad and generous amount of salmon they served.

And here come the mains,

4. Honey-Glazed Slow-Cooked Norwegian Salmon Served with linguini pesto, mango salsa and tossed mixed salad. (RM40)

They recommended this pasta as their star dish. It is pretty normal, pasta is a little soggy and tasteless.
Nothing to shout about. Or maybe it's just me, linguini is just not my thing.

5. Grilled Spring Chicken (RM36)

With creamy polenta and parmesan, baby spinach sauttéed with garlic and onion, assorted vegetables, served with honey mustard sauce.

6. Grilled Rib-Eye Steak (RM60)

200 gram of rib eye steak marinated with local spices, grilled and served with creamy mashed sweet potatoes, arugula salad with pine nuts and shaved parmesan, and spicy belacan green chili sauce on the side. Chef's favorite.

Some add-on side dishes,

7. Smoked Salmon Panini (RM22)

Smoked salmon, lettuce, tomato, cheese and egg topped with caramelized onion, served on panini bread, accompanied by potato wedges and mixed salad.

Absolutely loving this dish! Everything together is just heaven! Not forgetting because salmon is my fav

8. Flora Platter (RM50)

Flora spring roll, potato skin, crispy pie tee, cheese finger and chicken wings, served with spicy BBQ Sauce.

Food was overall good and satisfying!

After the dinner, well of course is the cake cutting candles blowing time!

Gan's family ladies portrait lol

Selfies and Wefies time!!

Wishing you a very happy belated birthday! haha

♥   Day 3 Itinerary

Noboribetsu Jigokudani  Noboribetsu Bear Park  Ninja Village   Lake Toya  Ramen Hunt

First stop we headed down south to the Noboribetsu Jigokudani, otherwise known as the "hell's valley".
Because the places we are visiting were all at higher parts of Hokkaido, mountains and stuff so it'll be a little more chilly than Sapporo. Hence the pink chicken outfit I am wearing haha.

Passing tolls.

I think there were 6 - 8 tolls for the entire journey that day, and did I mention that their tolls are pretty pricey (about RM30 average each time we passed one). But it was worth paying because the road condition in Japan tends to be good and definitely better than Malaysia. #aintcomplaining

Had our breakfast at a rest stop. I know, what ?

Because Japan rest stop are more awesome than Malaysia!! #notkidding

Just look at the wide selection of food!

From sushi to pasta to rice to anything you wanna eat!

So here's my breakfast
Needless to say it's damn super yummy!

Made new friends with some really cool biker gang at stop.

Tummy is happy, and off we go to start our journey of the day!

1st stop -  Jigokudani

It was a 1.5 hour drive and we are finally here at the Jigokudani!

Otherwise known as the " hell's valley "

Jigokudani is a volcano that has been exploded 10,000 years ago, it has strong sulfurous streams venting out from the earth.

If you walk or drive further up the mountain, there's a few more volcano to discover.
Some are even hot springs where you can also buy souvenirs.

Another volcano behind us. It's called the Oyunuma.

#觉得我们这两公婆pattern超多

2nd stop - Noboribetsu Bear Park

One of Noboribetsu attraction.

Sometimes I call him the pattern king.

Ticket for each adult was 2,592 yen (RM80).

Complimentary giant bear to hug

In order to get to the park, we need to take a 10 minute cable car ride.

Nothing much to see on the way up.

Pattern king strikes again!

Along with the pattern queen

And finally we're here! Spot the little one welcoming us? NO?

Here's a closer look!

A pair of super cute baby bears!

Just in time to catch a bear show.

Nothing really special for the few 10 minutes or so, just a bear walking on tree trunks.

Until this happened,

Quite amused that the bear can actually swing a swing. Of course he is trained.

Here we at are the second enclosure where you can watch a bunch of bears doing nothing but waiting for us to throw food at them to eat.

It's kinda evil to say that we actually enjoyed throwing food at them to eat and they would fight each other for it.

Not sure if all bears look like this or these bears just look really sad.

Oh well, let's proceed to the most exciting part of the park.

The Human Cage.

Walking through a dungeons-like walk way and saw a row of transparent lockers with packets of nugget-looking biscuit in it.
You need to purchase it if you wanna experience feeding the bears in the human cage.

As we entered the human cage, a giant bear is already standing right in front of the tempered glass window waiting for his meal to arrive.

I gotto admit, it was pretty scaryyy.

Instruction for us on how to feed the bear, basically just insert the bear snack into this tiny little hole and the bear will be waiting for it to come out on the other side then eat it.

If you hold the biscuit at the hole for a longer time, the bear will start sniffing and growling.
If you are lucky, their saliva or mucus might get into your hand haha.

It was a super fun experience although I think it's kinda evil.
Well, at least feeding them was my hubby's fav activity there lol.

Beside bear, they do have dogs. All well-trained for shows.

And they have DUCKS too!

They have this small race track there for ducks to race.
Pick the color ribbon on the neck of which duck you think it'll win and then they'll race.

My youngest sister's duck was the winner.

After that was some village visiting twime. It is located at the other side of the bear farm.

It was a small village with less than five houses where people inside the houses sell hand-crafted souvenirs.

My mummy super poser!

Runs in the blood I guess!

There was a bear museum too but I didn't take any pictures inside.
The museum has 3 floors where they show how bear was born and stuff. Worth dropping by.

Took this picture before leaving at the highest floor, an open roof of the bear museum. Where you can have a great view of Noboribetsu forest. Basically just all tressssssssss. LOL. But we did had a fun time at the bear park.

On our way down, passed by the Noboribetsu Marine Park Nixe.

It's lunch twime! Stopped by a local restaurant to makan makan a bit before our next destination.

Here's our super local Japanese lunch,

Loving each and every dish! Super yummy!

Tummy is happy again and ready to go!

Noboribetsu Date Jidaimura - The Ninja Village!

Spot the Ninja standing right in front of the Otemon Gate (entrance)?

This is a history theme park highlighting the Edo Period, one of the most attractive era in Japanese history.

Here you can "step back in time to enjoy traditional games, activities, theaters, street performances and more. The charm of ancient Japan is abundant as you mingle with the Ninja and Oiran courtesans so symbolic of the Edo Period." But we didn't manage enjoy all the activities because it was closed. Unlucky us! Well at least we got to have a picture with a NINJA!

Check out the activities you can do here at the ninja village!

Next stop was - LAKE TOYA

Hubby was tired so I took over the wheels!

It's the same like driving in Malaysia, except drivers in Japan are super polite on the road and scenery were definitely better

When I was driving and saw this, I went "SNOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW!!!"
We didn't expect to see snow during our time of visit because it's May and it's almost Spring.
So we got a little too excited, we even stopped at the road side to play and snap snap a bit! Perks of traveling without tour is that you can stop by anyplace at anytime you like!

And to take some artsy pictures!

Above is an example of a FAILED jump shot lol.

And here we are at LAKE TOYA (Toyako).

" Lake Toya (洞爺湖, Tōyako) is part of the Shikotsu-Toya National Park. In addition to the lake itself, the Toyako region features hot springs and an active volcano, Mount Usu, which last erupted in the year 2000. The area also offers many fishing, hiking, and camping opportunities. "

Made our stop at Toya Sun Palace Hotel, the spectacular scene they have took our breath away.

I think Toya Sun Palace has the best view of Lake Toya. The hotel itself is huge and they are famous for their Onsen (hot spring).
Will definitely make a one night stay here on my next visit!

Yeah my hubby was going for Beer advertisement in this picture.

Skies quickly turns dark at around 5pm and guess what? We manage to catch the sunset!
Sunset + Lake Toya = Absolutely mesmerizing!

It's souvenir shopping time !
They have this huge shop at Toya hotel for guest to shop for souvenirs. They even ship it for you if you need!

Just look at the varieties and cute packaging!

Can't resist to buy this Hello Kitty noodles!

Back to Sapporo

Left Lake Toya at about 7pm and back to Sapporo for some ramen hunt!

We didn't know where to start because everything is in Japanese so we just parked our cars at one of the street and start searching. Lucky us, in less than 2 minutes we spotted this street of Ramen shops. So if you are searching for it, just look for the sign in the picture above.

Decided to have our dinner at this ramen shop. It's called the 弟子庄. Apparently it is one of the famous ramen shop in in Japan.

If you are regular in Japan, you'll know that in most of the restaurant you purchase your food through a menu machine.

Pay at the machine → Collect receipt → Wait for your food to be serve

Our order's here!

Just look at the amount of ingredients they put in one bowl!

I don't think there is any bad ramen in Japan. But this is beyond good! It's damn effing GOOD!

My hubby used to dislike Ramen until he tried this, now I can proudly say Ippudo is our second home in KL lol.

AND, that is the end of my Japan Day 3 post. I know it's a super long post and I really appreciate if you read it from the top to bottom. I spent about one week writing this post hence the delay of my Japan trip post. But I really hope you guys enjoy reading and also helps you a little on where to go if you visit Hokkaido. I had a lot of fun and hope you you do too when you visit!

Food hunting with my foodie buddies again. Tried so many new brunches this month and I can't wait to blog all of them. Here's a short post of this new restaurant located at Empire Damansara. Not one to miss out on the latest hot spots.

And guess what? It is brought to you by the former Red Bean Bag chef! I can already tell good food is awaiting me to try!....

The weather was perfect that day so we picked the al fresco dining area.

Our brunch feast :

1. Eggs Hemingway

Loving the presentation!

When I saw croissant, poached eggs and salmon in description. I knew I had to order this.
This beautiful mess above is everything I love!

2. Metal Box's Baked Eggs

Their signature baked eggs, only complaint was that the eggs were a little over-cooked when it's suppose to be runny.

3. Beef Ragout Pasta

As normal as it seems.

4. French Toast served with Gula Melaka

This tofu looking french toast is just as yummy as it looks! Coated with nestum and served with raspberry coulis.
Paired with a shot of Gula Melaka. Sweetness overload!

But I guess coming to these places to dine it is recommended to order their signatures dishes, because only then you'll feel the price is worth it. Metal Box surely didn't fail us with theirs. Will be back to try out more! Worth dropping by!

Trick Eye Museum Singapore

Earlier this month me and the hubsy decided to take a short getaway to the island. Main reason is because Singapore is just bridge away from us that we can just drive or fly there anytime. For me, it's the nearest country for a short getaway. Had our stay at Marina Bay Sands again. Love this hotel! Now to be honest, there's nothing much to do Singapore really. Except for the famous Universal Studio, Sentosa, Night Safari, Marina Bay Sands. If you've been to all places already, there's almost nothing else to do or visit anymore.

What we didn't know was, they have a Trick Eye Museum in Singapore! Opened in June 2014. So beside the relaxing stay at Marina, we made our way to the museum which is located at Sentosa (not far away from the entrance of Universal Studio). Entry fee is $25 for Adult.

There's total of 6 sections for patrons to explore, first it was the WORLD OF MASTERPIECES!

Western masterpieces from French impressionist Georges Seurat’s “A Sunday afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte” to contemporary Scottish artist Jack Vettriano’s “The Singing Butler”.

Of course pictures like these deserve creative captions! So let's start!

"Starry starry night"...

Just me chillin' at a beach with a huge ass lady photobombing me...

Mona Lisa asked for a #wefie!...

Hmmm...This guy looks familiar...

My first tango dance...

Let me out, I promise I'll be good!!

okay any last word before being the dinner for tonight?

SAFARI KINGDOM

Okay, there a story behind this safari kingdom. Long story short, all we did was running away from giant monster the whole time lol.

First the hubby got trapped in a dino cage...

Then both of us got attacked by a Giant Snake...

Then out of nowhere a Giant Sea Monster appears...

Hubby was smart enough to climb a giant bamboo stick...

Then escaped the skydiving way...

I wasn't doing too bad either a Giant Dolphin came save my life...

& we lived happily ever after! hahaha

STAR OF CIRCUS

Watch me and hubsy perform at a circus. First up we have,

flying out from the cannonball performance!LOL.

The levitation performance...

The balancing...

 Synchronized swimming too!....

Lastly long pole balancing...

Aiming for first...

Ballerina dream came true!

Day out at the sea with my pet merlion...

Think you can do better? Haha my muscular hubs!

Finally done with all 6 sections! Okay, and I know my captions were pretty lame lol.

Tips - strongly suggest ladies to wear pants so you can do more poses with the arts. And also go in groups if possible so you can help each other and have more ideas for pictures. We definitely had an amazing time at Trick Eye Museum. I've always wanted to go to one and glad that I finally did! Worth dropping by!xx

Liposonix

$

If you guys haven't notice, I've lost quite some weight these few months. So happy because I can finally fit into pretty clothes!

As you would have read on my Instagram, I recently went for a Liposonix treatment.

Some of you may not have heard of Liposonix but are familiar with Liposuction. However, the difference between the two are HUGE as Liposuction requires painful surgery with long recovery time but Liposonix is a non-invasive fat reduction treatment which destroys fat cells 1.3cm deep using high-intensity ultrasound energy. No needles or surgery and completely safe J

Let me briefly compare the differences between Liposuction and Liposonix here:

Liposuction is an invasive surgery technique whereby surgeons insert a hollow tube into the skin where incisions are made. Fats are then suctioned out of the body. The recovery period from this surgery lasts anywhere between 2 days and 2 weeks. There are also potential side effects like scarring, swelling, and limited mobility. This is a procedure I’ve never considered undergoing because of the potential risks and I’m scared of pain :/

On the other hand, Liposonix is clinically proven as a Non-Invasive fat reduction treatment that is safe. That means no down time and no side effects. Without the disadvantages of Liposuction, Liposonix still manages to eliminate fats. The wonders of technology! The definition of a non-invasive treatment is any treatment that does not need penetration into the body by cutting/piercing/injecting the skin.

When I first heard about this treatment from Solta Medical, I was so excited. All the benefits of fat elimination without the disadvantages of long recovery period or scarring sounded like such a good deal to me. Not only I didn’t want to go through the pain or surgery, Ialso cannot have the down time, and I’m sure you all would not like to stay at home for 2 weeks as well. We all have our jobs, school, and activities.

So is there an option to eliminate fats within a relatively short period of time without any invasive surgery or risk of side effects?
YES!

The tagline for this treatment is “1 treatment, 1 hour, 1 size smaller.”
No needle. No scalpel. No scars.

So when I was given a chance to undergo this treatment sponsored by Solta Medical and M∙A∙C∙ Clinic, I decided to give it a go because I really need to lose those excess stubborn fat and my post pregnancy belly!

So here I am 3 months ago at M∙A∙C∙ Clinic (Bangsar Shopping Centre) to have my Liposonix treatment

M∙A∙C∙ Clinic also stands for Malaysia Aesthetic Clinic.
It’s a premier medical aesthetic centre located at Bangsar Shopping Centre and you can see this in their rooms and the staff’s and doctor’s professionalism. They provide few kinds of non-invasive medical aesthetics treatment including lasers and peels to manage certain skin conditions. Their staffs are highly trained to ensure the best results. The Bangsar Shopping Centre location definitely is so convenient for you to go shopping or for a meal before your treatment!

Once I got there, I was directed to see Dr. Hew who told me all about the treatment and eased my nerves on what I was about to undergo. Here’s a picture of him which I got from the clinic’s website because I realised that I didn’t take a picture of him -_-‘

Anyway, Dr. Hew was very friendly! As soon as I sat down, he had this welcoming smile on his face and he asked me what I wanted to know about the treatment. Even though at the time, I already went through brochures and online info, I wanted to hear it from the doctor, so I asked him about the treatment and how it will help me.

The first thing that Dr. Hew told me was that Liposonix uses high-intensity ultrasound energy to penetrate through skin layers, destroying fats on the inside. One of the unique points of this treatment is that the treatment manages to target stubborn fat areas for Custom Contouring. This means that there’s a high control of how you wants your fats to be targeted, like on the curve on your arm, all around your belly, your thighs, and etc. This custom feature means that the treatment can cater to different types of body shapes and area for the look that you want!

On top of that, because of the treatment’s high intensity ultrasound not available in other treatments, one treatment helps you lose 1 pants size. Keep in mind also that there would be some people who are more suitable for this, and some people who are not so suitable for this treatment. If you have these conditions, this is suitable for you:

Candidates for Liposonix treatment must:

Be able to "pinch-an-inch" (2.5 cm) of fat in the treatment area
Have a body mass index (BMI) equal to or less than 30
 Have good overall health
Have realistic expectations about the results

After the consultation, the kind nurse brought me to this relaxing treatment room.

In the treatment room and here is the much talked about Liposonix machine!

It uses high-intensity focused ultrasound energy to permanently destroy unwanted, fats which exercise and dieting cannot help.

Before the treatment started, the expert nurse did a precise measurement for me. This measurement is done to compare the patient’s progress after the treatment.Yea I know that's a huge tummy right there!"

Marking the points to divide the sections for the treatment.

After the measurement and sectioning, we were ready to begin the treatment. As you can see, this handheld device is the head of the Liposonix machine, and it’s ready to go on my tummy to destroy the fats! Here comes the magic!

The nurse placed the head of the Liposonix device on each area to be treated. She went a few rounds and adjusted the setting of the machine whenever I felt uncomfortable. It is quite sensitive on some areas, but she was patient with me

Blast all those irritating fats please!  Targeted fat cells are permanently destroyed without harming the skin, and the body naturally processes and removes the fat tissue over a period of 8 to 12 weeks through natural elimination

Each section (boxes) was targeted three times. And to be honest, it does hurt at sensitive areas. But if that’s what it takes to kill off my fat cells, then so be it. Once they die, it takes about two or three months for the body to metabolize them, and to therefore see actual results. The procedure took about an hour and only one procedure needed with no repeated session is required  Repeated session is required if you want to lose more than 1 pants size. The doctor also warned me that there might be some mild bruising for the first few days.

This is how my stomach looks after 12 weeks! I’m happy with the results of Liposonix. Even though I was quite doubtful that 1 treatment would help me lose 1 pants size, I was wrong. I managed to lose around 2 inches on my tummy from the treatment and diet!

Each section we need to go through it three times at the treatment area. And to be honest, it does hurt. But if that’s what it takes to kill off my fat cells, then so be it. Once they die, it takes about two or three months for the body to metabolize them, and to therefore see actual results. The procedure took about an hour and only ONE procedure in needed with no repeated session is required  There will be some mild bruising for the first few days.

Now I have a more hour glass shaped waist than a straight body shape!

I would sum up the key benefits of Liposonix as:

Minimal discomfort and trauma for your body
Short recovery time, can do your activities after
 No hospitalization

 One session, no medicines

No incisions, scars, post-operative complications or long-term side effects

Overall, I would recommend Liposonix for those of you who want to target that one specific area, it works to get rid of stubborn fat (especially if you’re already exercising and can’t get rid of those spots) and also, if like me, you’ve just had a baby and want to get back to pre-pregnancy body.

Birthday Dinner at Nobu Kuala Lumpur

IT'S THE HUBSYBIRTHDAY!!

Since the hubsy is a Japanese cuisine fanatic, I decided to bring the love of ma life to the newly opened Japanese fine dine restaurant located at the 56th floor of KLCC. It is said to be one of the best Japanese fine dining in the world!

So lucky to have the window seat, where we can see KL's highest skyscraper. Not forgetting a great view of the Twins Tower, better view than Marini's 57th  I would say. Of course, always remember to make reservation. Nobu's full-house everyday!

Some cold dishes to start,

Complimentary

Salmon Tartar with Caviar ♥ (RM80)

It was so so so good! The tartar was a rich and satisfying indulgence.

Paired perfectly with the caviar!

I'm not caviar kinda person but the combination was downright amazing! The taste was unforgettable!

Next up, to the mains. They called it thehot dishes.

Black Cod Miso  (RM160)

The signature dish of Nobu, this is the dish that made their fame!
Marinated with miso, grilled with nice black glaze at the corner of the cod. So sweet and succulent!
The dish to die for! It's definitely a must try!

Ribeye steak  ( RM160)

Hubsy like his steak done medium well. It was good but this wasn't his favorite dish. He like the next dish better.

Which is my plate of main,

Chicken with Choice of Teriyaki ♥ (RM80)

Apology for thenot-so-nice picture, but this dish is the bomb! Another must order at Nobu.
Meat was so super tender paired perfectly with the teriyaki sauce! Best teriyaki chicken I've ever had!
Portion is quite big, two person can share a plate of this.

To end we have the,

Salmon Roll ♥ (RM40)

Just like any other sushi roll, slightly better. For me, sushi rolls are no recommended to order in Nobu. Go for their signature dishes there. It's worth every penny!

We wanted to order more but our server told us we kinda went overboard for 2 person. Regret not ordering their dessert. Heard it's a must try too! Oh well, guess I have an excuse to come back next time.

Once again a very happy birthday to my love. There's so much to thank you for being a part of my life, but I think I will have to write an essay. So thanks for always being there for me all the time, you are my bestfriend also the best partner in life I could ever asked for. Many more birthday to celebrate!

To end the night with his birthday gift!

Hope he loves it!  Toodles! x.

The long-awaited internet dessert sensation we saw all over facebook has finally opened!
Located at Mid Valley newly launched section (an extended level), 3rd & 4th floor near to GSC Cinema.

Now why are there two levels? Where should you queue?

The lower level only serve the ice-cream, less seatings (suggest for takeaways). Whereas the second level serve ice-cream, food and beverages. Not forget to mention, bigger and more comfortable seatings. But there's also one condition if you want to dine in the more comfortable level, you need to order one of their main dishes.

Displays of the most exquisite Magnum Ice-Cream everrrrrrrrrrr

Here we are trying out the upper level.

Queue was about 15 minutes at 9pm on a Wednesday night. Not as bad as we thought :)

I really like the huge Magnum decorations, never knew they could be so pretty!

Despite having the most outstanding decorations and display, unfortunately most of the workers are still quite blur and inattentive. I am not saying all, but MOST. I expected better service from a world class company. Guess because they are still new? :/ Don't think that could be an excuse, they should have train all of them before launching. Most of them are foreign workers. Oh well, guess it's Malaysia. Sorry pregnant lady like to complain a bit :D

Never mind that, let's move on to the delicious section.

In the menu you have two options for the ice-cream,

You can choose already customized magnum or to customize your own.
Below are steps on how to customize your own ice-cream

We decided to customize our own ice-cream, so we get to see how the magic works at the customize bar.

Customize bar! With a wide selection of toppings!

Step 1 - Pick your ice-cream flavor (vanilla or brownie)
Step 2 - Coat it! (dark, milk or white chocolate)
Step 3 - Choose your three desire toppings.
Step 4 - Sprinkle!
Final step - Drizzle! (dark, milk or white chocolate)

Here they are sprinkling the toppings we chose on our Magnum!

Final step, drizzle!

and Voilaaa ! Here is my very first own masterpiece Magnum!
(toppings are - Oreos / Marshmallows / Almond coated with dark and white milk chocholate )

Let everything set for 2 minutes and you are ready to indulge!

I am a die heart Oreo fan, Almond is my favorite pick for a Magnum ice-cream and who doesn't like marshmallows?

I can proudly say my creation was perfect!

Here's le hubby's customized Magnum.
(no idea what are the toppings but one of them was gold nugget, hubby said it's a must have!)

Sister's choice! With another must have topping - Rose Petals! (yummy and makes picture so much prettier!)

Dig in they say!

As mentioned earlier, it was compulsory to order one of their main if we choose to dine-in the upper level. There were actually quite a variety of main dishes to choose from the menu. But guess we were late and most of the dishes were not available anymore so we were left with only two main dishes to choose from.

Below was our pick :

Magnum Soup
(A mix of crunchy, smooth, creamy and chewy textures in one deliciously light and unique dessert concoction)

Ignore the description, it was so weird and so wrong I can't even describe it. Not what we are hoping for :/ I am not sure what the ice-cream topping were, it's either Goji berries or red dates. Soup was tasteless. No way we were gonna finish the whole thing.

Another one was theMagnum Fries.
(Almond Crusted Fries served with spicy chocolate dip)

And it was the weirdest fries I've ever had with the weirdest combination magnum dipping sauce. The best we can do was finish half of the bucket for the sake of not wasting it. Don't ever order it, or you'll regret it! Guess food just wasn't their expertise.

Well, I'll say go for the ice-cream. But food, is it worth the long wait? It's up to you to decide.
Enjoy

It was a super last minute trip planned by my mom because she wanted a short vacation so badly.
This lady been traveling more than me, still complain but we layan also cause who doesn't want free trips? hehe.
It was a 5 days 4 nights trip, we took the noon flight and landed in Denpasar, Bali around night time.

It was our first time here at Bali new airport, so much better compared to the old one!

Definitely international standards!

First stop, FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!

Had some local Balinese food at a quite nice restaurant near our villa at Seminyak.
Food was really good with a reasonable price, nasi goreng is a must have in Bali!

After our satisfied Balinese dinner, we proceed back to our villa.

I book this villa through Airbnb. There's 1000+ gorgeous villas to choose from at super reasonable price!

I was pretty picky about our villa, it has to have nice pool. Therefore the villa I picked out for our first two nights was a three bedrooms with a living hall, dining area and a gorgeous pool

First thing le dad and hubby did was jump into the pool.

What's more that I like about our villa? Rooms facing the pool! We can jump right in anytime we feel like it

Each room has it's own bathroom, 2 with huge bathtubs

Me room

Called it a night early to charge up for the next day!

I always get questions like where do I get my contact lenses? What color of contact lenses I wear?
So I've decided to do a blog review on my recent favorite contact lens!

Alcon FRESHLOOK ColorBlends Contact Lenses.

Why I choose Alcon's Freshlook over circle coloured lenses? What's the differences?

Instead of purchasing those adorable enlarged circle lenses that will make your eye popped with their dramatic designs, I still prefer getting my contact lenses from an authorized and recognized retailer. Do you know that resellers that sell contact lenses at night market or unauthorized shops are practically illegal? According to the international medical law. Yes, circle lenses design are irresistible to fall in love with but it will also damage your vision. I've tried some before and not only it irritated my eyes so much and it also caused me a double vision problem. Ever since, I've decided not to purchase any circle lenses. My vision is definitely more important than looking pretty.

FreshLook ColorBlends contact lens range by Ciba Vision, which is currently known asAlcon Vision Care.

For me, I always have problems putting on circled or enlarged contact lenses (those barbie doll type) because I have a pair of rather small eyes. It hurts when I put them on. My eyes will completely turn red and sore because it irritates my eyes so much when I blink. It's sad because my make up wouldn't be complete without a perfect of contact lens. That's me :(

Not until I found Alcon Freshlook Color Blends contact lenses! Problem totally solved!

Not only it fits my eyes perfectly! It also has a 3-in-1 colour technology which blends three colours into one to create the most natural, subtle eye colour change for a beautiful and trendy look.

Although my vision is perfectly fine, I love putting on different colour of contact lenses to suits different make-up and occasions.

You can immediately tell the difference between the eyes with and without the color blends contact lenses.

The shade I am wearing is Brown, it gives me a more natural and realistic appearance

Most importantly, it's extremely comfortable! I can wear it for the whole day and my eyes won't feel tired at all!

With it, I can go out with light make-up because the FreshLook ColorBlends contact lenses enhance my whole appearance!
Ahhh... makes my life so much easier!

♥ Bali Day 2 Itinerary

Bali Nusa Dua → Pork Ribs → Tanah Lot  Dinner by Jimbaran Beach

First stop was Nusa Dua Beach.

Weather was scorching hootttt x89837249827 !
It was suppose to be raining season during our visit but not one day we see a drop from the sky.

Main attraction here is the "water blow". It's about 10 mins walk if you want to witness the famous water blow, so on your way there's other attraction spots for you to snap some pictures.

Le Familia

Giant statue of Arjuna and Krishna, one of the water God Balinese worship. Although being in a 90% Muslim country, Bali is the only part of Indonesia to remain Hindu. And from what I see, they really worship their Gods.

Here we are at the cliff where the water blow takes place. Facing right at the great Indian Ocean.

Behind us was the legendary water blow.
We managed to snap a small one, big one was suppose to look like this,

" So what is the main interesting point of water blow? On the cliff face to face with the Indian Ocean, there is a large narrowing gap. When the waves rolled and hit a cliff, as if caught in the waves in the gap and slammed into the top. From a distance like a huge white foam dancing to the top. The larger and faster waves are coming, the higher waves towered over the cliff. If not careful, you will also wet the brunt of the waves. " - (source from http://www.topholidaysbali.com/archives/water-blow-hidden-romantic-waves)

Dad and le hubby with our driver / guide / bodyguards etc. - Pachong!

In Bali, it's not really necessary to take tour packages. It's cheaper to find guy like Pachong to bring you around. They drive you around to wherever places you wanna go / famous sightseeing places / cheaper souvenir shops. They even took up the tour guide job at explaining everything to us! You need to find those that speaks English or Chinese. I even heard some of them speaks Korean wtf! Most importantly they bring you to famous and cheap local food places which bring us to our next destination,

One of Bali MUST HAVE food! - Grill Pork Ribs!!!

Smoking hotttt pork ribs!!

We were super lucky to reach there 15 mins before one whole tour bus of tourists came.
Otherwise waiting time could take up to 1 hour or more!

Here's my big plate of juicy-fresh-out-from-the-grill pork ribs!
One plate of these scrumptious and tender pork ribs is quite filling. If you are not a big eater, two can share a plate of these.

After filling up our stomach, we went for a little shopping and then to our 3rd destination,

Uluwatu Temple.

To enter, there is an entry fee and sarongs are provided for every visitor as a respect to enter the temple.

Uluwatu Temple is one of Sad Kahyangan Temple in Bali (six big groups of Bali Temples), located in Pecatu Village, Sub district of South Kuta. One of Bali's most spectacular temple located high on a cliff top at the edge of a plateau 250 feet above the waves of the Indian Ocean. It is also one of Bali's oldest temple and Balinese believes that the temple guards Bali from evil spirits. They are famous for the aggressive monkeys there too! It is advised to bring as minimal valuables as possible, as the monkeys are capable to snatch it even it's in your pocket.

So this is how I look like in a sarong!

Enjoying the sea breeze...
Behind me is spectacular temple facing the great Indian Ocean

Where's the temple you may ask? Haha... It is behind us the tiny building that looks like a Christmas tree. Me and le hubby were too lazy tired (preggers problem) so we didn't want to walk to the temple but the rest of my family did. They say it's a whole different view there!

We left the temple just in time to reach our last destination,

Dinner by Jimbaran Beach!

It's super special because we get to watch the sunset while enjoying our dinner!

There are more than 20 restaurants spread across the Jimbaran Bay, this restaurant was our pick. The food there are all more or less the same in every restaurant there unless you decided to dine in more private ones like these, they definitely serve better ambiance and food!

Super preets and breathtaking! Gonna make it a to-go-place in my next Bali trip bucket list!

Okay back to the beach and our restaurant,

It's not so bad either, you still get to watch the sunset. But it's better to make reservation before visiting in order to get the best seatings, which are the first row facing the beach.

Bali sun sets at around 6:30pm.

Not gonna lie, it's actually my first time ever to watch a sunset. It's definitely a magical and special one too because I get to enjoy it with my loved ones! I even made a time-lapse video of it!

Night view

Dinner starts when the sun was half way setting, how romantic! And here's our feast of the night!

Seafood was normal, I wouldn't say it's fantastic. Cost us around RM600 for the meal we had above.
Definitely overpriced but it's worth it I guess, for the sunset view!

And also music performances on the beach

After our dinner it was a wrap for the day.
We went straight back to our villa for a relaxing swim and called it a night!

Till next post !
